Wisconsin is known for their big blocks of yellow cheese – the heart and soul of the traditional grilled cheese sandwich. But few people know of their award winning Blues, Goudas, Asiagos or Parmesans. To explore this dynamic with Sockeye, we traveled across the country for talking to chefs, cheese mongers and groups of cheese lovers. The resulting strategy focused on raising awareness and elevating the brand among influencers who were interested in the stories the deep history and culture of cheesemaking and amazed at the quality of specialty cheese in Wisconsin which competes on the world level, regularly beating cheese from France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
