Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance is a global non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to widespread adoption of AR in practical business settings. Its members include Boeing, Bosch, Lockheed Martin and a large number of innovative companies who will likely be household names in the next decade.
As the Event and Media Partnerships specialist I designed trade booths, organized member meetings, and facilitated social gatherings. The goal was to create connections both among current members and with potential new members.
The goal of a trade booth is to attract people to stop and have a conversation. For the conference above we featured one of our member’s products: an AR innovation for restaurants that projects on to the top of a simple table allowing the customer to view the menu, order and then play a video game while they wait. So we turned the booth into an Asian themed restaurant with fun give-aways such as fortune cookies, finger catchers and fortune-telling fish.

As a membership organization, we were always looking for ways to add value and help justify the annual fee. We found that our events were a great opportunity to interview members on film and edit them down to create short videos that highlight the companies, give the benefits of the organization and are designed to be shared in social media.
